Hummus hails from the Middle East. It combines the flavours of chickpeas, tahini, garlic & lemon. It is a great alternative to Mayonnaise & Salad dressings: a great low Carb option. Makes a great addition to a wrap, layered vegetable stack or as a dip for fresh veggies: Carrots, celery, green and red peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, pita bread, you name it – it can be dipped.
For a twist, stir through a teaspoon of Pesto & serve as above.
